Q.T. Ideas
Some great studying tips....

I have a Q.T. Folder that I put together that has been very helpful that I wanted to share with you men. These are just helpful and practical things that I do along with prayer and reading the Word that I put into a 3 ring folder.

Prayer List-

Here I put together a list of things that I want to pray for. I include family, friends, pastor, local and federal government, asking forgiveness of my sins, and just the basic things that I feel are my responsibility to pray for. Building a list like this is great also as you can add to it and it makes for great reminders and when God does answer something you have your list to remind you that you were praying for that

Mission Statement-

I love having my mission statement at my desk where I see it everyday at work and I also include it in my Q.T. folder as well because I enjoy praying over it and declaring that during my time with the Lord- you really can’t get that involved with it at work.

My deepest, truest desires that God could grant me-

One morning God strongly placed on my heart to write down my deepest, truest desires that He could give me. This is so much fun to write out and to ask God for! It’s like when your parents ask you what you want for Christmas!! God’s heart is so to bless us, provide for us, and to bring joy to His children

Aspirations-

These are just sayings that I write down and speak into my life daily. It’s a practical way of speaking truth and wisdom into your life for your day. A lot of times it’s things that I am working on and goals for my life. An example would be: I will not stress out and worry today but instead pray about everything and the peace of God will be upon me. Another example is: I will eat healthy today and I will workout after work as I want to be healthier and lose weight and feel better. Customize these and not just say them but declare them for you and your life! Even emphasize in Jesus name I will be the man that God desires me to be and I will live out my purpose and mission statement that God has for me and thank you God that I will see this happen in my life! Have fun with it. :)

Key Scriptures-

When I am reading through the Word and I come across such a relevant and great scripture I like to write these down in full length here. Over the years I have built quite a few pages of incredible verses that speaks to me and that are great to read daily to remind me on what God says to do in life. So I read through these and it’s a constant reminder and encourager to me throughout the day when life gets tough with all its challenges.

Journal-

In my Q.T. folder I have one section that has blank paper in it and I write down what I hear God speaking to me and the date. It’s really enjoyable to look back later that day and remind yourself and to look back after a few weeks or months and see everything that God has said to you.
